Can I use the 7050A or 1091A in a 5.1 surround system?

The both discontinued 7050A and 1091A were designed to complement the 8030A, 8130A and 1029A, 2029A, 2029B monitors in STEREO installations only. They do NOT have the appropriate input sensitivity, filtering or maximum SPL output capacity to be used as subwoofer in a 5.1 surround sound system. Use instead the 7050B, 7060B, 7070A, 7071A or 7073A as they all have suitable input stages, bass management filtering and sufficient maximum SPL output capacity.
