What is the Bass Management Bypass feature?

The Bass Management Bypass feature affects the main channels only and the LFE channel remains unaffected. This means that the low frequency extension of all main loudspeakers by the subwoofer is bypassed and the full bandwidth is monitored by the main loudspeakers only. The low frequency reproduction of the main channels will extend as low as the main loudspeaker extension (i.e. for the 8040A: 45 Hz) At the same time, the LFE input remains untouched and the settings concerning "re-direction to the center channel" and " bandwidth (85 Hz or 120 Hz)" will remain untouched.
